Hi everyone,

I'm new to posting, but have been reading for a few months since Lenore referred me here after I asked a question on the surrogacy list (so some of you may recognize me). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

In any case, I have a question to ask you all who are experienced in this. My very good friend is currently 31 weeks pregnant with my child - so we're technically due 12/15/04. At her last appt last week, her OB took some measurements and the baby is huge - measuring in at 33 weeks (no problems, just large). So, with that in mind we're planning to do amnios beginning at 36 weeks looking for lung maturity, with the idea to induce ~37 weeks depending... That just chopped 3 weeks off of my protocol. So, here's the question:

I've been on the combined domperidone and 1/35 BCP for ~9 weeks (I'm in my 10th week) and had been planning to meet with a lactation consultant and start pumping the last week in Oct. I left a message for her earlier this week asking the same question, but haven't heard back yet. Is it better to stay on the combined pills longer or to pump longer and be on the herbs/dom combination?

Thanks for your help.

This is a question for Lenore, you should e-mail her directly.

Congratulations on your baby!

You need to stay on the protocol as long as you can. The longer your on it the more changes will take place in your breasts.I would take them til 3 weeks before induction so to speak. The longer your on it the better your milk production will be.
