I realize this is a small issue in the scheme of things, but its troubling me so I'd like some information. I've been on the standard protocol for about 6 weeks and wham! gained 10# just in the past month...no change in eating habits or exercise. I know many women have written about weight gain while on the protocol, and I also remember that the last time I was on the pill (about a million years ago) I gained 10# in the first month that wouldn't come off until I stopped the pill.

My questions are: for those of you who did gain weight, how much? Was the weight gain primarily while you were on the bcp/dom combo or did it continue after you stopped the bcp and started pumping? Honest answers will be greatly appreciated; I'm not going to stop the protocol because of this, but I would like to know what to expect. thanks very much,

Beth

I didn't gain weight during the beginning of the protocol, but I'm 10-12 pounds heavier now that I'm nursing my son (adopted). I can also tell you that when I nursed my first (biological son) I carried an extra ten pounds until I had him completely weaned. Most of my nursing friends comment that they never seem to lose all of their "baby" weight until they have completely weaned their children.

Don't stress about it too much, just think of it as a badge of honor while you're nursing! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
