I wasn't going to start pumping until this weekend, but the curiosity got the total best of me. I hooked up last night and to my surprise, I had several drops. Today it is coming out very well, it appears to be a very slight stream. This last time I pumped I got about a 1/4 teaspoon from my right, and about an 1/8 from my left. I'm just thrilled to get anything so early.

I have the Lactina pump and am wondering if the cups are maybe too small. The milk seems to collect around my nipples and doesn't flow easily to the collection container. I am about a 38 E. Would you recommend getting the larger cups, or is this just normal?

Thanks for your help!

I'll let the experts answer about your cups, but I wanted to congratulate you on your drops! I am on day 14 of my pumping and I, too, started a day early because of my curiosity, and was thrilled too. So glad to hear of your early success, and may your supply continue to grow and grow!

Hi Vicki,

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Sounds like you're off to a great start. I would contact the person who rented you the pump and ask for the larger phalanges. You can also contact Medela directly at www.medela.com

Warmest regards,
