Jaycee is 13 months old and still nursing strong. Ideally I want to nurse for 2 years. I am afraid of getting off the Domp and losing my supply. I do have a full supply and have made a full supply since the day she was born. DH doesnt want me to buy anymore dmop but I am afraid of losing the supply. Does your body kick in and make milk on its own or do I need to stay on the Domp?

Good question. I'd like to know, also. I think not though because my friend is still taking hers and Lenore says she's gone 3 years.

I believe some of the mothers here have decreased their dom dosage to see the effect on their supply.

Please let your doctor know what you're doing so that you can be monitored and educate at the same time.

I opted to stay on the domperidone in order to document a case of a mother (me) who took the domperidone for 3 years without adverse side effects. Ethan still gets my milk every day and he's fine too. My plan is to wean him when he's about 2 years old.
