My breasts are getting bigger - almost need new bras! I'm coming back from our vacation on the 20th, at which time shall discontinue the pill and start pumping, have been taking domperidone for well over a month (80mg a day) and had drops of milk before going on the pill. When I start pumping I'd ideally like to think about weaning myself off the domperidone... Has anyone managed to do this?

I'm in the process of weaning myself off. Right now I'm taking 20 mg 3 x's per day instead of 4. I don't notice any difference in my supply yet.

This go around I'm not making as much milk as last year's attempt. But I'm totally enjoying the breastfeeding with new baby. So I don't mind that my supply is lower. I hope to continue pumping and taking the herbs and oatmeal, once I'm totally weaned off dom.

What is your plan?

I guess I'll do it like you are. I haven't started pumping yet. I'm curious to see how this works. I am confused as to the way this works. I'd love to hear more responses.
We're off to the UK for a week tomorrow, but do look forward to hearing from women who have weaned themselves from the domperidone and whose systems continued to produce milk without the stimulus of the domperidone.

Pumping is going to establish your supply and you really need to stay on the domperidone for awhile to benefit your supply. I would not suggest weaning off of it until you have a well established milk supply.
