Hi Sandra,
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! This is a very exciting time for you. You're doing very well and once your baby is at your breast, your milk supply should build and build.
It's a very good idea to contact a board certified lactation consultant to help you get breastfeeding off to a good start. You can find one here
www.iblce.org Just click on the "About IBLCE" button and the US and International registry pops up.
It would be a good idea to have a lactation aid available such as a Lact-aid
www.lact-aid.com in case your baby needs topping up after the first couple of days. When you first feed, your baby will not need more than about 1/2 oz per feeding so please pump after feeds to keep your milk supply going. After a day or so, your infant's needs will likely increase. Supplementation if necessary is best done at the breast with your milk that you've stored. This will help to further increase your milk supply while keeping baby at the breast.
Most importantly, this is a time to enjoy your baby! Please keep us all posted. Looking forward to hearing all about your first days as a family.
Best,
