Hello,
I know we all know about the Whittlestone pump, but I was wonderding if anyone has heard anything about the ExpresslyYours Pump? It uses soft flexible cups, not the hard plastic ones. It says it is the only funnel type of breast pump that has been proven to elevate Prolactin levels. It even shows a graph on the website and the pump raises the Prolactin levels better than the nursing baby! It compresses the milk ducts, and stimulates the nipple at the same time. It is also Hands Free...it stays on by itself. It is distributed via a company called Camp Healthcare...1-800-492-1088,,they also have a e-mail address info@camphealthcare.com . It also uses silicone tubing, not PVC, which they say has less harmful chemicals in it. They have a hospital grade double pump available, and it also comes with both the soft and the hard cups, in case someone still prefers the hard cup. If anyone has tried this or knows of someone who has tried it, let me know. They claim it really helps to build the milk supply and raises Prolactin levels very well. Thanks, Cathy

I have an Expressly Yours, which I bought used off eBay sometime ago. I haven't tried it. I bought it without the bag, so I just have the pump in a box. I think the horns are hard, though. I will have to pull it out tomorrow and check it out. It seemed pretty cool, because you can control not just the suck, but how many times per minute. It's two seperate controls, unlike the PIS, so you can program it to be more in tune with your baby's suck. If you are BF, and you need to pump, I think you won't react as well to the pump if it is very different from your baby's suck. Your breasts can tell the difference.
I was told this wasn't a hospital grade pump, and that the PIS was better. So I have only been using my PIS. In fact, I bought the PIS used off eBay, as well, and now I have a little money that I can buy new one with, which I will probably do this week. The one I am using is stuck on one setting, and I would like to have the ability to change it, if necessary.
The PIS has been working well with me. It took me several weeks before my nipples even got sore, and they are not very. I just bought some Lanisoh the other day, and that seems to help. I am on day 37 of the pumping, and yesterday I pumped 19 ounces. I have one more session today, but it will be about the same today, too.
I will be interested in hearing if anyone else has any positve experiences with it. I will check mine out this week, and possibly test it out. I'll let you know what happens.

You know, I just remember, I have the PURELY Yours, not the Expressly Yours. I bet there is a difference. Maybe I am not going to be as helpful as I thought.
Sorry!

Dawn,
The Expressly yours is soft and flexible, is hospital grade, double pump called Proflo or something like that. It only weighs 5 lbs and is supposed to be very quiet. It also uses silicone tubing, not PVC. The milk cannot back up into the motor, so it is actually considered a multiuser pump, meaning you can buy it second hand and feel safe. I am not sure what it costs. Congrat's on the 19 ounces a day after such a short time. Take care, Cathy
