We are in the process of looking for baby #3. I've been networking a lot, and we've been "presented" to a few bmoms in the past couple of weeks. There is one in Oklahoma, where the baby is born, and he's a preemie. His bmom got 3 profiles last week, and was going to decide yesterday. Well, the caseworker met with her yesterday, and the bmom gave back 2 profiles, kept 1, and asked to look at more. The one she kept was ours.

So, please, if you have any prayers to spare, please pray that this baby quickly grows strong, and ready to come home. And please pray that his bmom picks us for his family. We would love to have him, and I know that Jeran especially would be thrilled to have a baby brother.

Since tomorrow is Friday, I am positive that a decision won't be made until next week. It's really nerve-wracking to wait, especially knowing that we are "in" for the "second round". I am also praying that I get through the weekend okay!

Thanks for listening!

Hi Dawn,

I'm here if you need me regarding preemie care. Remember that breastfeeding and skin-to-skin holding a la "Kangarroo Mother Care" are the best things you can do for your little one.

Best,

Lenore Goldfarb, Ph.D.,CCC,IBCLC
Wife to Rob, Mom to Adam aged 13, and Ethan aged 9, both born via GS and breastfed via Regular Newman-Goldfarb Protocol.
