Yikes! I can't believe it, but I think it's time! I started the protocol on 7/31, so it has been more than 2 months. I hope that's long enough! I was taking the generic Diane 35 for the bcp.
We have a possible match, with a preemie baby born. He will be three weeks old on Wed, 10/4. But, we have another match with a bmom that wants a closed adoption. She wants the agency to pick the family, and they told us if we want the match, it's ours! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> She is going to have a c-section the week of 10/16.

So it looks like one way or another, we are bringing home a baby this month. I am really hoping the bmom of the preemie is able to make a decision in the next couple of days, as I would like to have a definite road to follow, you know? So really praying for guidance in this situation.

Starting to pump tomorrow, though, as either way, we should have a baby boy needing milk. Wish me luck, in that my milk comes as quick as last time!

I was disappointed in the first 2 days of pumping. All I got was drops that were too small to even fall into the bottles. But today I finally got real drops, then rivers, then even a few sprays. Today is day 3 and I got almost a full ounce.

Last time I was on the protocol I was on it for 9 months, and this time it was only 2, so I have to remember that. Plus, I pumped for 10 months after that. This time, unless this situation falls through, I will only be pumping about 2 weeks before the baby arrives. Hopefully he will increase my supply much more quickly than just my PIS will.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Remember, it takes a couple of days for the bcp to leave your system. Milk supply is inhibited until this happens. You're on your way!!!

Well, today is day 6 of pumping, and I've already pumped 5 ounces by 7 pm. I'll be pumping twice more tonight. So I do feel good about how well things are going.

As it is, the situation that we had been matched with has fallen through, so I am now pumping without that match. But, the atty that did our ds' adoption called just this morning with a probable situation. That one is looking good, just praying that it works out well. Bmom is due 11/13, so that will give me a few weeks to increase my supply. I don't know that I'd have a full supply for the baby by that time, but if I didn't, it would hopefully be pretty close.
