I often forget how impatient I am. These last two weeks have reminded me. I'm pumping as often as I can. It's strange to have bare breasts at work. I'm only pumping 1.5oz to 2oz per day. I want more! The good news is I have one storage bag full of expressed BM. The bad news is, if I don't massage and compress while on the pump, I only get a teaspoon or so out of each breast the entire session. In fact, today at work WITH the massage and compression, I only got 2 or 3 tsp from both breasts.

I'm visualizing streams and rivers. I'm stroking. I'm massaging and shaking. I still have 6 weeks before the boys are scheduled to arrive. I suck at relaxing.

Hi CSH,

Can you remind me... what protocol you followed, which meds, for how long, and pump you're using?

Best, Lenore

I suppose I was on the accelerated protocol for 4 months, since I used Yasmin and Dom. I don't tolerate Ortho 1/35 for some reason. I have a Medela Symphony rental at home and a Medela Pump-in-Style Advanced at the office. FWIW, I think the two are remarkably similar.

I think a good question for me is about the "latch" with the pump. A substantial portion of the nipple should be inside the horn, yes? I have one nipple, the left, which easily goes into the horn. The right is difficult. It also doesn't pump (or express) as much.

Thanks,
csh
