My 8 month old daughter has started biting at the breast. She has had her two lower teeth for a month now, and just started with the biting. She will go to pull away and clamp down, and those two little teeth are razor sharp. I will look at her and firmly say NO. She just looks up at me and laughs! Any ideas? I've worked too hard getting my milk up to par, and I don't want to have to stop nursing. It means so much to me to be able to nurse. I don't want to have to stop. Just the thought of having to stop brings tears to my eyes. PLEASE HELP!!!!! <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />

Hello,
Ouch! I have heard of two ways to handle the biting. One is to actually draw the baby in closer and say No,,the other is to unlatch and say No, then relatch etc...please let us know how it goes,,,we may all be there in that situation someday also! take care, Cathy
