Thanks Karma- you are right that it just is what it is and we'll just have to deal with the results we are getting. I keep wondering if I'm doing something wrong or not taking enough Dom or whether there is something I can do to improve the situation. But oh well, all we can do is wait and see and hope for the best!

Twins - I know this is way easier said than done but try to relax. Your body will react to the stress and it won't help. Relax, think positive and just KNOW that it is working!

During my bio son's first year of life I pumped daily so I would have an emergency supply. As that milk neared freezer expiration I donated it to an adopted baby.

I made so much milk for my son that if I was away from him I got plugged ducts. He grew wonderfully, was healthy, all that stuff.

And I sucked at pumping. If I was away from him to work 12 hours, I was lucky to get 10 ounces (and plugged ducts) during that time. When I wasn't working (12 out of 14 days) I worked and worked to pump 2 ounces.

So, it could be you are early in the pumping phase. It could be you will have to supplement. It could be that, like me, you will respond better to baby than pump.

Hi there. I was only producing much less than a teaspoon full per session for a while too, and was getting worried, but out of the blue the volume started to increase and after 2 weeks I am now at 3 oz, so hang in there.

Second- thanks for sharing your story! That is interesting and yes, it's a possibility I imagine that I'll respond much better to the babies than to the pumping. Thanks for sharing.

Van Gogh- thank you! It is good to hear of another who was also such a low producer initially who is now doing well. I appreciate you sharing the story!
