Hi me again;
This time i have either a blocked duct or mastitis in one of my breasts, the one that produces more milk. I skipped the 3am pump cause i slept through the alarm clock, and this morning i had lumpy breasts that were sore. (YES, I stupidly slept on my stomach which i now know not to do!) I worked out most of the lumps by massage and pumping (double dose of pumping to make up for the missed 3am) and that helped a lot. I think i understand what is happening. i started taking more domperidone to increase my supply, i take 2 pills each time I pump 9am-12pm-3pm-6pm-9pm-and 3am. 12 pills a day. plus i increased my pumping to 25-35 mins each time. I've only been pumping two weeks (was on regular protocol for 5 months) the first week i got 5 oz milk in 10 days, after increase in dom and pumpings i got 5 oz in 3 days and a blocked duct or mastitis.

I used a warm cloth and massage and I giggle while pumping, it has worked out most of my mastitis.
Is there any advise the wise woman on this site can share with me?
thanks,

Marica.

Besides what you are already doing, taking Lecithin helps if you seem to have a problem with clogging ducts.

I was going to suggest the lecithin too. My LC suggests taking a lot when you first get a clogged duct (like one an hour) until the clog loosens itself and then continuing to take lecithin 2 or 3 times a day if you are prone to clogs.
I never had a clog with my bio son, but I got a bunch while bfing my adopted daughter. Mine are actually a result of a milk blister (a tiny white dot on the nipple). Now I know when I feel a clog, to look for the milk blister. It sometimes "hides" but it is always there. I have to pick it out before the clog releases. Just something to check for.
