Is yasmin the same thing as Yaz when I do a search on it to read up on it Yaz comes up at the same time. I just want to make sure to ask the Dr. for the right pill. Thanks

I thought they were two different pills, but I am not sure. I would ask your doctor, they should know.

I looked at mine (had an old package) and it definitely says Yasmin. A friend took Yaz. I am pretty sure they are different.

They are defintely different pills; I have been on both at different times. Yaz similar to Yasmin, but with a slightly different configuration and is newer that Yasmin. They are marketed by the same company. My Dr. bascially told me that the patent on Yasmin was running out (you can get generic now), so this was being marketed as the "newer" type. But - it IS a different combo of active ingredients.


My wonderful husband and I are in the process of our first adoption (domestic infant). We can't wait to have our first little one join us.
