OP becky2591 newbie B Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 8	Is yasmin the same thing as Yaz when I do a search on it to read up on it Yaz comes up at the same time. I just want to make sure to ask the Dr. for the right pill. Thanks

Yaz similar to Yasmin, but with a slightly different configuration and is newer that Yasmin. They are marketed by the same company. My Dr. bascially told me that the patent on Yasmin was running out (you can get generic now), so this was being marketed as the "newer" type. But - it IS a different combo of active ingredients. My wonderful husband and I are in the process of our first adoption (domestic infant). We can't wait to have our first little one join us.
