Hey last I posted was about a baby that was going to adopt last July. That adoption did not go through which left me heart broken, so I stopped trying to trying to induce. Then just a week ago a someone ask me to adopt there baby out of the blue. She is definitely was to give me her baby. The baby is due in 8 weeks. I have breastfed 2 bio kids, both for three years a piece, but it has been 11 years. I have started taking a regiment of dom, gaot's rue, fenugreek, and blessed thistle all 3/3x a day. Can someone tell me when do I need to start pumping?

Hi,

just a note of encouragement. I re lactated after 19 years! If you do the accelerated protocol, you would start pumping after finishing that. check out the info from the home page.

good luck

IF you aren't doing the birth control part of the protocol then you should start pumping now. It will take you as long as you have to get a supply going. If you are able to take BCP I would suggest doing the accelerated one. If you can stay on the bcp for about 2 weeks before baby is born then you start pumping

I can't take the BCP, but I have read on here that you can take goat's rue to help if you can't take the BCP. I also wanted to know if I can take the gaot's rue, dom, and the herbs at the same time. I read somewhere that you should take just the dom and goat's rue and then when I start to produce milk to start taking the herbs. I have taken this regiment now for two or three days and my breast feel heavier. Since I have breastfed before would this be relactating or inducing?

I would treat the goats rue like the [ill portion of the protocol. So take the dom and goats rue and then when you get ready to start pumping add the herbs in. I am not sure if that time you stop the goats rue or not. I will ask.

How long should I wait before I start pumping the last time I did it, I know that I was doing something wrong. I did get milk production, but I want to make sure that I am doing this right this time

I would say at least give yourself 2-3 weeks of pumping You will want a supplementer to nurse with that will help your production as well. The Lact-aid is the one I used and most women seem to prefer it over the SNS

I have been on my regiment of dom, blessed thistle, fenugreek, and goat'r rue and so far my breast feel really heavy, and I have notice that they look a little bigger. I do have a question though, my breast hurts when it that time of the month for me, and I am having some breast pain. My cycle is not due until the week after next, so am I to assume that this pain is from the breast changes that I am having?

I appreciate your words of encouragement, I really hope that this works. I can't take the b/c pills so I am taking goat's rue, blessed thistle, fenugreek, and dom. I have been on this regiments for almost a week now and I not seeing any drops or anything, but I am having some breast changes, so I am hoping that this meens that everying is working as it should
