We have a match! Our emom is due June 28th I started the dom and BC last Wednesday March 10th. What is more important being on the BC longer and pumping closer to the due date or stopping BC at 6 weeks before the due date and pumping for 6 weeks before?

If I begin pumping 6 weeks before the due date I will have been on the BC for 10 weeks. Is that long enough?

10 weeks should be enough. I was on it for about the same period of time and I'm up to about 1.5 ounces per pumping session. (some times less) Although I increased my dom when I seemed to get stuck at 1 ounce per session.

I started pumping early though in case our birth mom went into labor early. I've been pumping for 4 weeks now.

But to answer your question I'd stay on the BCP at least 2 months if not the entire 10 weeks.

Pumping long term is hard. I would stay on the protocol the 10 weeks at least. If you can get in 4-6 weeks pumping that would be good.
Congrats on the match!
