Hi, all! I have a wondering whether or not it is safe to be on any types of diets. I want to lose some weight but I also want to be safe. I have been going to Curves and now they have a weight lose program. Should I try it? Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Jen

Many places have a program specifically for breastfeeding women. Just let them know, I am sure they would be happy to share that info!
It is safe to diet, as long as you maintain certain things. What, I am not exactly sure, as I have not dieted in years. Lost about 20 pounds when my dd came home, but have gained it back. Hoping to lose more when the next baby comes home, too.
Good Luck!

Esther,
I am a firm Atkins believer, stayed a size 4 for two years on it..however, I would not recommend the Induction Phase of his plan, 20 grams or less,,in other words , full ketosis for those women who are lactating/pumping. His Maintenance Phase is recommended for pregnant and lactating women, which would be around 60 grams of carbs per day.
Thanks, Cathy
