Hello All: Just less than a week ago I began the pumping phase of the regular protocol. I am pleased with how things are going, but have now discovered that the adoption I was pursuing may not happen at this time and am considering going back onto the medication phase of the protocol and ceasing pumping. Has anyone done this before or heard of any issues with this? What is this going to do to my hormone levels? I would expect my milk supply to cease but will my body continue to think it's been on the protocol the entire time or is this like starting from scratch? Any advice? Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear about the adoption.

I think you will be fine restarting the protocol. If our adoption hadn't worked out, that is what I would have done. I would guess it is not like starting over. You already have built some breast tissue. It will just continue to build while on the protocol.
