Dear all, this is my first post in this message board. I have been reading this website for these four months, and I have got a lot of information for my plan to breastfeed my baby. I have 3 daughters ( 9,7,4 years old) that I breastfed when they were babies. And because of some complications of my third delivery, I am not allowed to get pregnant again. We still hope to have a boy baby, so we did IVF this year and the embryo was put in a surrogate mother. I got the information of this protocole a little bit late, so I was in the protocole (Diane35 and Dom 4 times 20mg) for only 3.5 months. And I add blessed thistle and fenugreek and already pumping for 4 weeks now,6-7 times a day and I already got 200 cc per day. We plan to deliver the baby on Dec 29th. I really feel grateful for this protocole. My question is what should I do more to have more milk, so I can achieve full supply? Should I add Alfalfa? I already bougth lact-aid, but I am not really sure how to use and clean it.. I really hope I can just have a full supply..

I had to look up the conversion, but it looks like 200 cc's is almost 7 oz a day. Although that is not a full supply, I think that is a good start. I am guessing that your supply will pick up when the baby is here. He will not need much for the first couple of days, so your supply will be enough for then. Then, I hope it will increase with him.

My suggestions to increase are to eat oatmeal. Get as much rest as possible (I tried to nap every day). I haven't heard anything about alfalfa. Pump at least once during the middle of the night.

Good luck to you!

Previous to restarting the protocol I am on now, I used Alfalfa . This herb work better than any other herb for me. I took 2 pills, 4 times a day.
I read a lot about (Diane 35) and its success with inducing lactation but went with Yasmin.
I hope when I start pumping I have such great results!
Congratulations!!

Thank you for your answers Jennifer and Collete. It is difficult for me to take a nap during the day, because I still have to work, but I do feel tired and sleepy during the day, especially after pumping. I already have oatmeal every morning. About the pills, at first I try to find Ortho 1/35 as Lenore suggestion to me on her email, but I can not find it. So my IVF doctor said I can use Diane 35. Although I already above 35 years old, and it is not recomended to use for my age, but I don't have any problems with Diane 35 during that 3.5 months. I think I will order Alfalfa and also try to pump during the night.. Once again thank you..
