When the baby is newborn, he won't need much milk. I know I am making more than he will eat in a 24 hour period. Should I pump after I feed him each time, to make sure I keep up my supply? Or should I wait to see if I get engorged?

Wow Dawn....getting so close!

I think you shoudl do some pumping or with your supply you would definitely get pretty uncomfortable. But perhaps you could cut your pumping down to whatever keeps you from feeling uncomfortable.

I am no help....but these are my first thoughts!

I am so excited for you!

Hi Dawn! I just went through this. I don't have quite your supply, but my 20 oz/day was still more than my baby girl needed. I did express when I needed to, but we also had our birthmom, toddler brother and birth aunt living with us until two days ago (baby is now 8 days old), so finding time to do anything was difficult. I worried about my supply diminishing, but our little baby seems to be doing well with nothing but me (no supplements) so far. And you're soooo close! Good luck!!!
