OP purpleangel newbie P Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 9	Hi Ladies Yesterday I got the results from my blood tests My Progesterone level was 1.5!!!!!! Even post O it's supposed to be over 5 Anyway the Dr said from the remiains that it was at least a twin pg, and if it happens again I need to be on lots of progesterone I'm going to be taking some time off this time though My poor body, and poor BF just can't take it anymore I guess it gives me some kind of peace knowing now what was wrong I'm going to give myself some time to greive, and reflect. Also I'm starting a new job, and I want to be able to foucus all my energy on that. Does anyone else have that low progesterone during pg? Purple

barbi member Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 46 TX, USA!	Hi Purple, Yes, I had low progesteron on all of my pregnancies but my first one, which was seven years ago. My miscarriages were not due to progesterone but contributed I am sure. My last pregnancy, which ended in the birth of my daughter in January, I also had low progesteron. I was put on a progesteron pill (used as a suppository), for three months and after that all was well. Take care, Barbi

I had low progesteron level in my previous 2 pregnancies which contributeed to m/c The third time It wasn't low but I was put on progesteron suppositories just for safety. This time I used them for 3 months again even though my doc said I wasnt low so I dont really know! Good Luck with ur new Job & soon I hope U'll inform us about ur successful pregnancy. The bad news is that you didn't get the progesterone support in time to save your pregnancy. The good news is that you know you need progesterone support which is relatively easy to take care of. What did your doctor mean by "if it happens again"? Please INSIST on progesterone support no matter what, the next time you are pregnant. It's quite standard practice these days to get extra progesterone support especially if you've had a loss.
