I am on accelerated protocol I started bcp on April 22nd and started dom on May 4rth now my breasts feel little bit painful and firm. yehhh I am excited!!!
I didnt know about this protocols before we adopted our baby so I am kind of late its too late to breastfeed he wont take my breast anymore so I am just planning to pump the milk.

I have few questions, which breast pump is best and efficent to use? is to better to rent or to buy? please also tell me how I can use to eliminate the pain(I have heard horrible stories reagaring pumping) I am willing to do what it takes but I wanted to do whatever I can to minimize the pain.
when exactly I should start to pump?
Thanks alot in advance :),

Hi has and welcome! You start to pump when you stop the bcp and add the herbs. The recommended pumps are the Medela Pump in Style and the Limerick PJ jr. I have seen them both on Ebay. How old is your baby? There are ways to get him back on the breast, especially once you have milk there. You could also try using a supplemental nurser like the lact-aid. You can do that now and a board certified LC could help you get him latched with that. The website for lact-aid is www.lact-aid.com
I have a protocol Lenore gave me for transitioning to breast slowly. If you give me your email I will send it to you.

Thanks, our baby is 20 months old now. My email address is [email protected]. I really want to feed my milk to him for religious purposes I wish I had known about the induce lactation before so I would have started it earlier and I coud've given him my milk longer now I can only give my milk till he turns two. So I basically have 4 months. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

hun you can feed your baby your milk much longer than 2 years old! You can feed him your milk as long as you want

Hmmm my post disappeared.
But I agree with Nona many of us nursed or are nursing our babies well into toddler hood.
