I know that any amount of milk is better than no milk, but I was curious to know if anyone developed enough of a supply to exclusively BF a singleton.

Also, I have read that the Symphony produces more milk, does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance,

Dantan

Yes, Dantan. Many of our moms have produced enough to BF a singleton exclusively and one of our Mom's Jamie produced enough to EBF TRIPLETS!!!!!

Are you following the reg or accelerated protocol?

Dantan,
I am ebf my daughter. She is 6 months and has been ebf since 2 weeks. I had no notice, so I started pumping the day she was placed with us. I had been on the protocol for 8 months. I got drops right away and was able to build my supply quickly. She did not need too much then because she was small and my supply grew with her need. It is possible. Let me know if you have questions.

Dantan,
I am also EBF. My daughter is now 4 weeks old and we have been EBF since she was about 5 minutes old! It really can be done! Good luck!

That's fantastic news Candace! How long were you on the protocol for?

I seem to fall somewhere between the regular and accelerated protocol.( Sorry Lalle-I just noticed your question today..I was so excited by the news in the responses that I did not read closely.

I have been on the protocol for a bit over four months. I was planning to start pumping this weekend. The baby is due at the end of August.

Which do you guys think is more advantageous to building supply? Doing another month of Yasmin(for a total of five months) but getting in less pump time, or getting in the full amount of pump time with less time on the Yasmin?

TIA Ladies!

You could compromise and just do another couple weeks on the Yasmin. Then go off and start pumping. I think having been on the protocol for 4+ months and pumping for a month + some will work out nicely.
