Is there an ideal time in your cycle to start the protocol? Last time I started right in the middle but I did get a lot of breakthrough bleeding (I have since heard many women mention this on Yasmin) but I wondered if it was better to start on the first day of your period or something.
I did get the bleeding all the way through the protocol off and on and although I can put up with it; it was a pain.

Patience

I don't think it would be a problem to start right when you finish your cycle, As if you had taken placebo pills. Then start right in on the active pills only and keep taking those without the placebo from then on.

Yeah I was given the Yasmin packs without the placebos so I would just open another pack when one was finished. Much easier. So I'm on day 5 now so should I just finish this cycle and then start the protocol when my period starts again?

I have heard that day 5 is the perfect time to start. That is when I started and I had no breakthrough bleeding on Yasmin. When you do fertility treatments they have you start BCP's on day 5. And that is about when you would start a new pack if you were taking pills regularly.

Patience I would start now. What I meant was start as soon as your bleeding is stopped/stopping

I am on day 7 today. Maybe I will start tonight. My routine last time was to take dom in the morning as soon as i got up so on empty stomach, dom around 2-3 pm, bcp around 9pm with dom or dom shortly after with a baby aspirin chaser! LOL

What do you think? I know some people split up the dom into four lots but Dr Newman said you could do 3x3 a day versus 4x2.

I know I did this for 7 months and I can't believe I'm nervous again.

Sounds like a good plan. I do it 4 times a day, but I have heard 3 is easier. Good luck.

Just in case. I did it the last time. I get migraines (once a year or so) so I wanted extra insurance against clots.
