I was looking at nursing bras - trying to get ahead of the game - and found that they recommend buying one in the last trimester - NOT helpful when I am adopting! :-) Anyone have any advice on how to buy a correct sized nursing bra while on the protocol? I have 5 more weeks before I start pumping...

Anyone also have any experience with being a larger chested woman to start? I can't imagine going without underwire for support, but have read it is not good for breastfeeding. I am already a DD before any of this...

Any recommendations on a brand or style?!?!?

I am jealous!

I am naturally an A but am currently sporting a C. So I went up 2 cup sizes. I haven't been wearing a bra which is...let's just say it's not pretty.

Hopefully someone more well-endowed than me can help you.

I am not well-endowed (a C) but I would not recommend the underwire. I ended up with clogged ducts this time and they are not fun. I am actually wearing the sports bra type most of the time to prevent them. I hope someone that has a similar situation can help you.

Bravado has some really good nursing bras and they have excellent customer service. Their styles accommodate larger breasted women very well.

I have found some that are $25 and some that are $60 - the more pricey ones are hard to TRY unless I know that they are going to fit longer term. I will continue my quest.

AND DON'T BE JEALOUS - they are no fun to deal with on a daily basis! ;-(

I am a size 36H...not fun. I LOVE the medela seamless softcup nursing bra at breakoutbras.com. It is very comfortable, true to size, easy to exchange and doesn't give you "torpedo boobs" or "uni-boobs" that some larger bras do. I have been nursing for 8 1/2 years and gone from every size between 34 DD to 36H...this is the best bra! Try buying only 1-2, as you may experience size changes throughout your nursing experience. And remember...nothing too tight or constricting and the underwire end should land well under your armpit. Best of luck to you!!!!!
