I appreciate your heartfelt response. I am at a loss. I need to talk with my DRs more, because I am getting mixed responses. I am thinking it is due to MY health that I may not be able to continue, maybe not JUST the drug.

If that is the case, do you need any Domperidone or Fenugreek? I have an unopened bottle of the Fenugreek and the package of Domperidone has been opened, but the pills are in blister type packs, so you can see they are "safe" and not tampered with. I would be happy to send them to you... I would rather let someone else benefit from them instead of throwing them away or letting them sit around here and remind me of what might have been.

Not giving up all hope yet, but looking for "plan 2" if need be...

How are you after your clots?

How is/are your kids?

Take care.

Hey there. I know how frustrated you might be right now. The beginning of the blood clot was the worst time for me, I couldn't walk properly, I couldn't eat all I wanted, and I was on the ugly warfarin. That was 18 months ago, and back then I never thought it will be over. Well, now I'm only on baby aspirin and my blood clot has disappeared when I had the last ultrasound last week. You will have to work with a hematologist and do anything he/she asks you to do. Drink tons of water, I drink at least 2 - 3 liters per day. This really helps. And I'm still in my compression stoickings, and they don't annoy me at all now.

I'm sorry you feel that way :-( But trust me there is a light at the end of this tunnel. Where exactly is your clot and how big is it? Mine was in my right leg from right above the ankle till mid thigh, so it was a huge one. But it resolved. After the swelling was gone, my doctor wanted me to excericse daily. WALK, WALK, WALK. This helps pushing the blood in the veins from the leg to the heart and lungs and thus preventing more clots.

Unfortunately I lost my twins 2 days after they were born and I developped the clot 3 weeks after losing them. We are now waiting to adopt, and that's why I am on domperidone and fenugreek.

Feel free to ask about anything.

The link I am copying here shows that the warfarin is excreted in breast milk but that no reports about effects on babies were proven.

Went to the hemotologist Thursday. He said the warafrin was fine for breast feeding and actually ENCOURAGED me to be on birth control while on the blood thinners. Said Warafrin and babies do not get along in the development process. He said there can be some nasty birth defects... sad. He was concerned about the Fenugreek and the Blessed thistle. My dad is a pharmaceutical chemist. He does work to help companies get drugs ready for FDA approval and that was what HE was concerned about too... The NATURAL stuff that there is not alot studied on. There are articles out there about Fenugreek and Warafrin not being "friendly" with each other.

I am so sorry about your twins. I lost twins too, but while pregnant. I can't imagine losing them two days after birth. My heart goes out to you.

So, at this point, my husband and I think the breastfeeding is NOT going to work for me. Again, the offer is out there to YOU if you want my domperidone and fenugreek. I would be happy to mail it to you. I know you don't know me from anyone, but I promise NOTHING has happened to the meds. You will be able to see they are sealed and safe. If you don't want it, I am going to offer it out to someone (anyone) else. Just thought you and I "connected" so the offer goes to you first! :-)

I wish you the best on your adoption!!!! Where are you adopting from? Do you have a match yet? We get our baby in October!!! He is coming from New Jersey. Due October 17th right now, but our birthmom is measuring big, so she is having an ultrasound on Tuesday to see if she may be due earlier!!!! ;-D I can't wait to get him!!!!!

My best to you!

Oh Natalie I'm glad you sorted things out with a hematologist. Stick to what he says and you'll be happy and healthy.

Thanks about your offer, but I don't think we can do that. You see, currently we are living in the Middle East and it would be difficult to send drugs oversees and I am not sure what their regulations here are about importing drugs or receiving them from another country. Thanks again and I really appreciate it.

I'm sorry about your loss too. It's never easy. I lost a few pregnancies myself so I know the kind of pain you've been through.

We are still in the process of adopting. Our agent promised a child by October :-) There's no match or anything, this is not how things go around here. They ask for loads of papers and blood tests and when they make sure all is well, they visit it us a few times at home to make sure it's a good place to raise a child, then they tell us to start checking orphanages (there are lots of orphanages around here) and when we find a babay we want to adopt, they sign off our papers and make the birth certificate and all the paperwork needed. The agent said the visits would be at the beginning of October and once they are done, we are good to start visiting orphanages. SO I am praying things work fast.

Congratulations about your baby, I'm so happy for you. I'm sure you'll bond with your little one just fine, it's not always about breastfeeding.

Good luck dear and I wish you all the best.

Natalie, I am sorry you have decided not to nurse You can do it without the Fenugreek. There are so many benefits to nursing. You can use a supplementer and put donor milk or formula in it while still maintaining your health with what doc recommends. If you want to pass on your dom and fenugreek I have a friend right now struggling to build her supply. She could use it. Email me if it is still avail. [email protected]

Thanks, Laurie
