I have changed nothing in what I'm doing, and I have noticed a decrease in my supply in the past 3 days :-(

I was satisfied with the 2 oz. I am producing per day, now I am not even making 2 oz. I am stuck at 45 to 50 ml. !!!

Is this normal at some point to have a decrease then it will go up again? or should I worry?

Sorry for venting, but I am very frustrated .

Hapi,
I noticed that if I massage before i pump and some where in the middle, it helps get some more milk out. it seems harder to get the milk out some-times. You may already be doing this. Keep at it!
Try eating Oatmeal for breakfast every morning, if you don't already.
hope this helps a little.
Marica.

Thanks Marica. Massaging does the opposite to me :-( I know it's weird, but I could swear that everytime I think of massaging to get a stronger flow, the flow decreases.

I'll try the oatmeal though. I like to have oatmeal cookies for snacks, but I'll sure try to have a big oatmeal breakfast. Hope that helps.

Thanks again.

also make sure you are getting enough rest that can affect your supply as well.

My favorite oatmeal for breakfast is;
cook the oatmeal with water, then add milk (I use goat milk) then flavor with honey or agave nectar! Yum.

Marica.

Thanks Nona and Laurie and Marica.

I think I haven't been drinking enough lately, and I was not resting enough either. So maybe this is it. At least I hope so. But life was very busy and I was out most of the time running errands before baby finally is in our arms.

Thanks for all the good advice.

You need to be relaxed to produce milk. Also, make sure you aren't taking any cold or allergy medicine. Or exercising too strenuously or not eating enough, which can impact your supply.
