I have been on the accelerated protocol for 6 weeks and have seen breast changes (increased breast size, tenderness, heaviness). I am planning to stop Yasmin and start herbs and pumping (my adopted baby is with me and 3 months old).

I am now spotting and I feel like I'm about to get my period despite the fact that I'm continuing the Yasmin. Is spotting common? Is there a standard way to deal with it? Should I continue with my plan to stop Yasmin and start herbs and pumping? Or do you recommend some other action?

Thanks, thanks, thanks.

spotting is common and some women have break through bleeding their entire time on the bcp
I would go ahead with your plan to drop the Yasmin start the herbs and pump. Only I would nurse with a lact-aid and pump after feeds when you can. Baby at breast is much more efficient than any pump on the market.

I spotted halfway through my 8 months on the BCP's. Almost like a light period. It had no impact when I finally started pumping. Good luck. Have you tried putting her to breast at all?
