Hi, I induced lacation almost two years ago for our adoption of Johnathan. We are expecting his half brother or sister due Jan 9th. BM did go three weeks early with Johnathan. I have a lact-aid and very comfortable using but would like to eventually produce enough milk so I don't have to use it.
Can I skip the birthcontroll? I have some dom. left over and a great pump. What do you suggest? Thanks!

Cheryl start on the full protocol with BirthControlPill now, you will need to be on it for 30 days. When baby gets here continue taking Dom and BCP and nurse with the lact-aid. Once you have hit your 30 day mark stop the bcp and add herbs all the while nursing with the lact-aid. You can pump after feed once you are off the bcp to help with your supply. You will have a greater chance of developing a good supply if you do the protocol.

I started the protocol 9 days after my daughter was born and used lact aid during that 30 days. After I went off the BCP and added the herbs, I continued to use the lact aid to build my supply. My daughter is 6 month old now and I am supplying almost all her needs with BM.
