I know this sounds odd to complain about this but I was on the NG Protocol for 7 months a few years ago and had almost constant breakthrough bleeding almost from the beginning.

This time I'm on day 58 and nothing; not a drop. Is this ok? I did start this time on day 5 and last time started mid cycle so does that affect it?

Any opinions would be good. I'm on Yasmin plus 90mg of Domperidone.

I think it is fine. Lots of women have no bleeding on hte protocol. Did you take Yasmin last too?

Yes I did. I don't want to switch if I don't have to as I feel great on Yasmin and don't want any problems considering I have occasional migraines. (It's funny but for the most part on the previous protocol; my migraines were milder)
I am going to stay on for 9 months or until we get a match.
I know I shouldn't complain as it was a nuisance last time but of course anything different gets my attention.
I think you were the one who suggested starting on day 5 (Thanks)

Patience

Nope not me, you can start on any day. It may have been Jenn who suggested day 5 and who knows maybe that is why you have had no bleeding. But it is fine smile and I would be happy not to deal with the nuisance.

I did suggest starting on Day 5 (that is when they start you when you do IVF - they say it's the ideal time in the cycle). I started on Day 5 and didn't have breakthrough bleeding most of the time I was on the protocol. I did have some spotting around month 6 for about 5-6 days and then it disappeared and I didn't have any more until I stopped the BCP's and started pumping. I used the Yasmin too.

Ok well thank you Jen. I feel pretty good; my breasts didn't get huge but feel more solid and I do have premilk in them.

I have been taking domperidone and yasmin non-stop for the last three weeks now and for the last two days have started bleeding. This is more than breakthrough bleeding and more like a normal period. Is this normal?

yes it is normal. Unfortunately some women still have their periods on the protocol. (it would be nice to skip it)Would this be the normal time for your period? You are only taking the active birth control pills right?

Thank you!

I started the Yasmin a few days before my last period and have taken it for three weeks solid (only the active pills). So haven't actually had a period for almost two months, but I guess this would normally be around the time for my period. How come our periods still come on the protocol. I was thinking how nice it would be to skip it!

When I started the pill, I started on day 5 of my cycle and I did not have any spotting. I think the spotting / period is because of when you started in the cycle. It may not continue after this month, or it may just be light spotting.
