Hi all,
I'm new here and have recently started the long protocol for our twins that we expect over surrogacy in August.
A couple of questions:
I thought the protocol called for 80 mg of Dom per day, but I have read here that much more is taken. Do I need to up my dose?

Can I take the Dom 3 times a day instead of 4? Right now I'm doing 30 mg after I wake up, 20 mg in the afternoon and 30 mg before I go to bed.

Would be greatful for any replies.
Thanks,
Kristen

You can do it in 3 doses What you are taking is fine. Some women up their Dom for production reasons. You will know after you are on the pumping regime if you need to up it a bit.

I think if you take it 3 times a day it is recommended that you just take 30 mg each time (for a total of 90 mg a day). Better to keep the domperidone levels the same throughout the day. I was on 80 mg a day for the first month feeding the baby and then upped it to 120 mg a day (30 mg 4 times a day).

Hello,

I started May 11 at 12 pm taking Domperidone 10 mg (took it 3 times yesterday). Also yesterday I took Ortho 1/35 at 12 pm. I took my second dose of Ortho 1/35 at 7am and 10mg of Domperidone on May 12, and pretty much immediately after felt pressure in the bowel and uterus like I had to go to the bathroom but didn't. I was also feeling gassy. Then I proceeded to feel pain in the upper bowel and the uterus (hard to say exactly where but definitely internally) when I began walking. I just took 3 Ibuprofen and after squirming in pain for 1/2 hour the Ibuprofen kicked in. Is this pain related to the Domperidone or the Ortho 1/35? I wonder if my pre-existing endometriosis and adenomyosis are being triggered? I just ended my period on May 7 and I had minimal pain during the period. I just turned 46.

I got some cramping from the dom. It took a bit to get used to it. Work your way up slowly. If you are taking it 3 times daily it should end up being 30mg 3 times a day. I have also heard taking it with food helps some. And taking the BCP at night helps those who are having issues with it.
