I started pumping 3 days ago. I am getting a little puddle from each breast in the bottom of the bottles so it is going very well. However, I feel extremely nauseous every time I pump. It makes me want to stop but I don't. Has anyone experience this and does it ever stop? I'm pumping for 10-15 minutes 4-5 times a day/night right now.

Hi, I am new here but I have breastfed my 4 children, perhaps there are other issues going on , make sure you are well hydrated before you pump..I used to drink at least 8-16oz or more of water about an hour before I knew i was going to be pumping. Also make sure you are very comfortable if it is possible. If you are pumping in an environment that isn't inducing to your comfort maybe that can also create this ..I think...I don't know ..does it happen always or just once in a while?? I hope that helps a little...

I had this problem when I first started pumping. It was really bad. I had to fight back the urge to throw up every time I pumped. It lasted for about a month. Then it stopped. It will still happen sometimes, but it's pretty rare now. Here's a little info on nausea and letdown.
