I stopped BCPs and have been pumping for 7 weeks now and haven't gotten my period. I will pump for another 2 weeks and then stop. I was inducing lactation to have a supply in the freezer to supplement with for my partner who is carrying our baby and she will breastfeed. We wanted to baby to get antibodies from both of us just like our 1st daughter did. Do you think my period will return shortly after I stop pumping?

Are you taking medication to induce lactation (like Domperidone). Dr. Newman indicated that the Domperidone would help stop the period. I needed my period to stop because I have endo. I'm not sure if pumping is doing it too. Are you getting your milk to flow. I've only gotten a few drops, not a real supply yet. I haven't had a period in awhile either. Good luck.
