Our emom is due in March and right now, I am pumping between 7 and 8 ounces a day. I still have 3 months to prepare so I am hoping to have enough milk that I will not have to supplement, at least not at first.
Is there a magic number that I can say is enough to feed a newborn? I know with my bottle fed babies, they ate at least 16 ounces a day at first.
I have heard 12 ounces is sufficient because the baby will make up for what I cant do with a pump.
Is 12 a good goal? Or, should it be more?
(If i was getting equal amounts from both sides, I would have 12 already but my bad side only gives under 2 ounces a day!)
