OP blueeyedfemgirl newbie B Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 8	I am almost finished with my 3rd pack of birth control pills on the protocol, taking only the active pills. For the last 3 days I have been having a light period. Is this normal? I haven't missed a pill or anything. I guess my body is just kinda confused. I am planning to take one more pack of birth control to get me to May and then I will pump for May and June. The baby is due July 4th. I'm hoping to have a little supply in the freezer by the time she is born.

Nona extra helpful experienced member Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 1,176	Yes break through bleeding is normal. Adoptive mommy to 4 , Last 2 adopted nursed. Youngest nursed till she was 5! Raising 2 grandbabies, as infants they were raised on donor breast milk

I started bleeding at about 5 weeks on protocol and after a super light flow for a few days have pretty much been spotting on and off the whole time. hvnsnt member H Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 68	Yes it's normal. When I was on yasmin I bled for 13 days straight. I'm on ortho now and only have light bleeding here and there. I spot just about every day though. occasionally I have a day with out spotting. weird part is when I was on BCP to prevent pregnancy or on BCP in prep for IVF I never spot or bled. I've been bleeding/spotting since I started the pill. I get cramps too some times. Last edited by hvnsnt; 01/25/10 11:29 PM.
