I am so excited! I took Ortho 1/35 and Domperidone for 63 days. After that I continued Domperidone and began herbs and pumping. So far it has been 3 days and I am pumping between 1/2 and 1 oz. each time I pump (3 times per day). This seems good to me. Is it? Thanks for listening.

Jen,
You are having fabulous results, esp after only 63 days on the protocol. I just started pumping today, after 7 months on meds...hope I do as well! Take care, Cathy

Cathy,
Congrats on starting to pump. You should do well after seven months on the meds. I was so excited when I first started. I think you may find that some of the systems you had on the protocol will go away in time. You may notice being tired for a while. Now that I have been pumping for a while I seem less tired. Though now I try to keep going after pumping.
Today for the first time I pumped while driving. I pumped one breast at a time. Does anyone know if you can pump two breasts and drive at the same time? I learned last night at breastfeeding class to not use the nipple inserts unless your breasts are smaller. Lactation consultant said you should be able to pump more without them. F.Y.I. in case anyone wants to know. This week my friend came back. Is this normal? Is it good or bad?
Cathy the more you make the pumping a part of your life the easier it will be.

p.s. Where do you live in Maryland? Are you by the D.C. area. We go down to Maryland by D.C. to visit the temple for our Church. We are about three hours from the Rockville/Kensington area. At the end of the month I am attending a conference at the Washington Convention Center. Anyway it's cool to know that another person who did the protocol is not that far away.
Talk to you later,
Bella

Thanks Bella,
I was dreading starting to pump, I am afraid my endometriosis pain will come back. I started pumping at 11 am yesterday and no sign of my period yet. I am trying to pump every 2-3 hours. I am at work now, I have already pumped a couple of times in our bathroom, really not too nice buy no where else to go.
We checked into Mexico..sounds like it will take even more time than Guatemala will, plus more paperwork for Mexico. So, back to square 1.
My mood was so angry the last couple of weeks, I don't think my husband or son could stand me anymore, another reason I stopped the bcp.
I will let you all know how I am doing,,,so far dripping clear fluid from left and drops from right.
Thanks, Cathy

Bella,
I live closer to Baltimore than D.C. We are actuallly not too far from the PA line,, I can get to my parents house in Red Lion PA in about 1 hour. We should get together!
I bought the vehicle lighter adaptor to pump in my car during my long commutes. It lit up, but the pump would not turn on ..so I will have to see what is up with that.
I was thinking about trying the avent isis hand pump that you can use with one hand,,just to use in the car...
take care, Cathy

You guys pump while driving?!? Holy cow! I don't think I could manage that!Have no problems pumping in the car, though, just have never tried it while driving.
Cathy, I'm glad to see you started pumping! I know what you mean about the bcps affecting your moods. Although I would have been plenty mad in your situation, too. I'm really praying that you get your baby quickly. I can't believe all the hoops we have to jump through, just to add another family member to our family. It's ridiculous!

Hey Cathy!!

WOO HOO!!! Drops already!!!! WOW!! You're doing GREAT!!

Hey Jen,

You need to pump more than that. Lenore recommends every 2-3 hours by day and at least once during the night. The more important thing you can do right now is drain, drain, drain your breasts. Lenore says there's a whey protein that sits in there like a guy waving a flag. If you leave that guy in there, the breasts think there's enough milk thank you very much.

So you have to drain that flag guy outta there so the breasts know to make more milk. Once you're milk supply is nice and high, you can slack off a bit if you need to.

Thank you everyone for your posts! I will try to increase my pumping. Thank you for letting me know that. It is so great to have the input of so many people at so many stages of the experience.
Thanks, Jen
