Hi there. I did the accelerated protocol with our first daughter with success. I did not have time to do anything with our second daughter as she was a total surprise, allergic to all formula and she was exclusively bottle fed breast milk from donors for the entire first year. We have planned another adoption and I already ordered the domp. and the bc pills. Figured we'd take our time and do the regular protocol for the best success. Well, surprise, we get this out of the blue call about a baby due in four weeks. Birth mom will choose today for sure, but she is not looking at any other families at this point.

So... I would have four weeks... (and domp. hasn't arrived yet)... should I even try? Or... are there ways to do it? I have to be careful not to take on too much stress since I have two other children to care for too and I am highly affected by lack of sleep.

I would start the dom and bcp's as soon as you get them, and do 3-4 weeks if you can. Then start bf and pumping. I did the regular protocol, but had no time to pump because our daughter was a stork drop. So I just started pumping the day we were placed with her.

Good luck!

Our daughter arrived at our door step without any preparation on my part. I started the accelerated protocol at day 10 of DD life; I had to fly out of country at the premature birth of our grandson.

Anyhow I started out using the SNS with formula, doing the protocol and at day 30 I stopped BCP and pumped out my first drops!

It is totally possible to do it with only a month notice... Btw, I was able to achieve 95% milk supply for DD. BF for 14 months.

Good luck and Congrats!

Linda,
I am glad to hear that you has success with the accelerated protocol. I am 3 weeks in BC and Dom right no. I have noticed fuller breasts but that is all so far. Our son is due in Aug so I have time to finish the BC and then start pumping.
Thanks for share your info, Tracy
