Hi All! I am on day 4 of pumping and my nipples are SOOO sore! no bleeding, no swelling, and blisters...nothing like that. Just very painful, especially when I first begin to pump. After a few minutes of pumping, the pain goes away. I am using a hospital grade medela symphony and a medela PIS (one upstairs and one downstairs as I have a 2 and 3 year old so the options makes it MUCH easier to find time to pump.) Please help!

Have you tried using Lanolin on your nipples before you pump? That helped me. A little bit goes a long way.

I have also heard olive oil on the nipples can help. It will lessen as your nipples toughen up.
