I had an unusual first experience because the baby was already with us. But the second adoption, when I pumped ahead of time, I wasn't even getting drops at 5 days. For me the pictures and visualizing a nursing baby helped and that kickstarted me and I started increasing after that. I hope you start to see an increase soon!

Well ladies, I am 10 days into pumping and I think I might have FINALLY accumulated one whole ounce... maybe 1.5! Seriously, I don't think I'm even getting 10ml per day (30ml/oz). Wow, this is so discouraging. I'm doing everything... Dom, Fenugreek, Blessed thistle, water, pumping every 2-3 hrs during the day and once over night, watching YouTube videos of crying babies, and eating the Major Milk Makin' Cookies with oatmeal, flax meal, and brewers yeast. Should I be increasing faster than this? I guess I'm just freaking out because I'm two weeks behind in pumping and I'm so afraid this baby is going to arrive earlier than expected and I'm still putzing along making less than an ounce a day.

Sorry to vent!

Daisy

I'm sorry Daisy. It is so hard because you don't know how you will respond. It may be that you just don't pump well. Do you have a lactaid ready?
