Well, my period was 2 weeks late this month but came eventually--I had 3 really busy days where I pumped 5-6 times a day instead of 8, and I think that triggered it. I did have several months without a period while actually nursing my last (adopted) baby, but am not exactly sure what to expect now when I am only pumping. I know everyone is different, but just wondered what other people's experiences have been with periods while pumping.

I didn't have a period for 3 months when I started pumping, and then I got one. but I have noticed that I am not regular. I always seem to ovulate when I get a couple days when I am not pumping quite as much, and then two weeks later I get AF. I am hoping when we bring our baby home that AF might take another vacation, but I won't be disappointed if she shows up. I suppose I should be keeping track of when she arrives, but I have fallen out of that habit. It feels too much like when we were trying to conceive. So I can't tell you for sure when she will show up next for me.

I pumped for a month with no dom and had a normal cycle, but as soon as I started taking dom, everything stopped. Six months later, I finally ovulated and had a period again. Just one so far... this month I'm late and am curiously watching to see when/if my period will show up. We have high hopes of bringing our baby home soon, so I've stepped up pumping again (I had been pumping only 5 times/day last month, now back to 7 or 8). Heh, I won't be disappointed if AF stays away again, either. <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/tongue.gif" alt="" />
