Hi, I have a question to ask all of you wise people. When colostrum comes in how long does it take before the milk comes in? I am thinking about letting my surrgate nurse our twins while in the hospital just for the colostrum benefit. Then I will take over. thanks becky

Milk comes in anywhere from 2-4 days after birth. Wow! Twins! What a blessing.

Hi,
She could also pump the colostrum and you could feed it to your babies using a supplementer like the Lact-aid. Congratulations , you are very blessed! Take care, Cathy

Lenore told me to I could use the lactaid as well, but that it is thick and will need to be mixed in with mine to thin it out. She suggested to let her nurse as it would be easier. I am ambivalent about it but can accept it for 24 hrs. I think my surrogate would do either one. Thanks, becky
