I am forgetful as far as taking the domp goes and wondered if there is a better way to do it. I am only remembering to take it 2 times a day IF THAT. My supply still seems to be increasing dispite this and I am even considering if it is still nessacary to even take it. Thoughts?

Yesterday I had 9 ounces the day before it was 8 1/2.

I always take mine with meals. It seems easier to remember that way. I keep a 7-day pill container next to the sink, and put the dosages for the whole day in it. That way, I can see if I have taken the doses I've needed to take already.
And, if all else fails, and I forget a dose, I don't stress about it. Sometimes I will take three pills the next dose, but usually not.
Good Luck!

Hi Rebecca,

Looking at Lenore's protocol, you shouldn't go off the domperidone until your full milk supply comes in, and that will not be until after your baby arrives.

You may want to check the book, "the nursing mothers companion" out of your local libary. It has an appendix that tells you how much milk your baby should get in the first five days, and then provides a formula and table to tell you how much like the baby should get based upon weight.

You are doing fantastic with your milk supply, but according to the table, you are pretty far from being able to provide fully for your baby right now.

I have trouble remembering to take the domperidone too, now I take it when I pump, I also take the fengreek and blessed thisle at the same time, and drink a bottle of water while pumping. That seems to work for me.

Cheers, Jean

Rebecca,
After you have a full supply... you can start cutting back.. I would suggest one tablet at a time. That way you do not plummit your supply. If it seems to drop.. then up your dose again. If not.. continue to drop one tablet a week.
