Hi,

I'm still on the protocol and still having uneven breast changes. Hm, guess I better get used to that since it doesn't seem like it is going to change. Lately I've been forgetting my evening dose of dom. I even bought once of those fancy pill dispensers to help remind me to take all my pills but for some reason or another I keep forgetting. So what should I do? Most of the times I just skip it so that I've only had 6 pills by the end of the day but yesterday, the second in a row, I added a pill to my bedtime dose for a total of 7 pills for the day. Does it matter that I took three at once? What about taking 2 on waking, 3 at lunch and 3 at bed since taking pills 4 times a day seems like more than I can handle?

Any advice would be appreciated!

I think missed doses are common -- I've certainly missed my share. The compound pharmacy where I've gotten mine suggests 30mg three times a day if you can't remember four times a day -- I just add an extra ten mgs to the next couple of doses when I forget -- don't know if that really does anything, tho.
It's easier to remember them once you start pumping, tho!

On occasion, I'm out at the lunch hour and forget my pre-lunch dose. I've been doubling up, then, when I take the next dose. But it may be too much if your body excretes any "unused circulating amounts" anyway.

Experts: How important is it for keeping a stable peak blood level in our system?

For sure, a missed dose of the bcp should be taken as soon as forgotten, true? Or is that only in the case of maintaining their contraceptive effects?

Thanks,

Hi Ladies,

If you miss a dose, please do not double up. I keep my bedtime pills near my tooth brush. If you have a bedtime ritual like brushing your teeth, going to the bathroom, taking out your contact lenses etc, just put your pills right there so you'll remember. Alternatively, taking the medication 3 times per day is also fine.

You mentioned that we should not double up but what about spacing the pills very closely. I forgot yet again last night! Don't know what is wrong with me!! But anyway, I took what should have been my dinnertime dose at 9 pm and then took my bedtime dose at 11:30. That is only 2 1/2 hours between doses but I assumed that it would be ok to take them so close together. Now that I read your post I feel a bit worriied. It is not the first time that I took them so close together. What is the minimum amount of time we should allow between doses?

Most appreciative for your input!
