Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm 29 weeks tomorrow & had my u/s on APril 19th.
The baby was sleeping with her hand fisted on her forehead & yawning <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />
The u/s tech wouldnt tell me anytjhing if she was growing normally or if she was on track or off track though & THAT got me worried.
Her fundal height was 30 cm at week 28 which frankly I dont put much stock on, her weight was right on track but WHY wouldnt the u/s tech tell me how many weeks my baby girl was if she wasn't off track! I asked the doc & he said she's showing 28 weeks, B4 when I had u/s early in preg . the SAME u/s tech told me how many weeks my baby was.
do u think I need another U/s ? My doc wouldnt consider another coz i've already had so many.:(

I gained about 15-16 lbs so far & doc said I was on track & that I shouldn't think I';ll have a 10 lb baby coz I was small ( we r not too tall couple, I'm 5"2" & hubby is 5'7"
She's been kicking & doc gives me 98% chance now.

Thanks for all ur support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do u think I should ask for another u/s?

Dear D.

Everything seems to be moving along as it should. At this point since you can feel your baby, an U/S is not needed unless your doctor orders one. You see in the beginning, all the proof we have that the preganncy is continuing normally are the blood tests, and then the ultrasounds. But once you can feel your baby move, you are then the best judge of what's happening.

Your doctor has given you a 98% that everything will proceed normally. It's time now to relax and enjoy the last few weeks of your pregnancy. It won't be long now, your baby will be in your arms, cooing and pooping and hopefully breastfeeding before you know it.

Have you contacted a board certified lactation consultant to assist you with breastfeeding? You can find one here www.iblce.org Just click on the US or International Registry depending on where you are and arrange for someone to visit with you prior to the birth and perhaps make arrangements for her to assist you with latching and positioning at birth. One or two follow-up visits would help to make sure everything is going along smoothly.

Fondly,
