"As for sex drive. The normal sex drive of a woman who has just delivered and is breastfeeding is vastly reduced. The reason for this is to allow her body to recover. Since the protocols mimic what happens during and after pregnancy, the sex drive of a woman on the protocols is also reduced. Ovulation also tends to be suppressed while on the protocol and breastfeeding which is why many women do not see a period until they wean off the dom or wean their babies which ever comes first.
However, this does not mean that a fertile woman can't become pregnant so we highly recommend that alternative birth control be used such as a barrier method, condom, diaphram, etc. to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
Weight gain is also par for the course during pregnancy and is the same for women on the protocols. We recommend increasing proteins and decreasing carbs to help ward off too much weight gain."
