HI

Today for the first time I got actual drops of actual white breast milk from one breast!!!!!! Then the next two times I pumped nothing, is this normal?
I did the accelerated protocol and then my pumping tapered off due to stress family stuff etc..... so I have only been pumping once or twice a day for the last couple of weeks, then today I got milk, I was so excited. Will there be more?

I have been pumping every two hours today and will continue, our son via adoption is due in three weeks. I hope this means my milk will come in.

It will come just keep pumping. Are you doing the breast massage and jiggling before pumping?

Yes, I am massaging and jiggling, and have pumped every two hours while awake since I saw the drops yesterday and still nothing. I am worried it was a fluke and that was all I am going to get. Is it common to go a day or so with nothing at the start?

It is fine. You are training your breasts to give milk to the pump. Do you have some baby items you can look at or baby lotion you can smell while pumping? Sometimes it helps if you can get a visual or sensory of the baby. You are doing fine just keep up your pumping. Are you taking the dom and herbs?

Thanks so much, the last time I pumped I got another drop! I have a complete nursery to look at maybe I should start pumping in there.
I am taking dom and will start the herbs and oatmeal tomorrow.
Thanks again,

It's hard, but try to relax and not stress and get rest and pump (and jump up and down and rub your belly ... just kidding) ... it can only help your milk to come in along with your diligent pumping.

Keep up the good work.
