Hello again,
How time flies...our little miracle Emma Louise was two months on Sunday. She had a beautiful christening and is generally doing great.
I was on the protocol for about three months prior to her birth. I never had that much success pumping but she is nursing nicely with the lact-aid and hasn't had a single bottle so far.
I will need to go back to work at the beginning of September. We've spent the last six weeks with family in Germany and will be going back to Sao Paulo next week.
I will be working full time and dh will stay at home caring for Emma. We live fairly close to my office and I expect to be able to nurse her at least once during the working day. I will also take my pump to work in order to keep my production going and have some breastmilk to feed Emma in the bottles my husband will give to her during the day.
Is it likely to be a problem to get her to take a bottle after two months of breastfeeding exclusively? I was planning to start the bottles as late as possible, a week or so before say? Conversely, is nipple confusion still likely to be an issue at this stage? I will be using the Avent newborns.
Any and all advice on breastfeeding while working outside the home will be much appreciated! I am sure some of you have been there and done it.
Love,
Chris
