Hi Lenore,
I am struggling where to go from here. I have been on the protocol of Yasmin and Motilium since December 29th of last year. We are still waiting to adopt a newborn but nothing has come through yet. I also have MTHFR and antiphosphoid lipid syndrome so I really had a lot of thinking to do when I started the protocol. Due to my blood clotting issues, as you know it is not recommended that you take a bc pill. My doctor knew of my success at adoptive bfeeding when my son was born. I successfully nursed him exclusively for 1 year and was pumping close to 32oz a day prior to him being born. As a result of this success and my dr. knowing how badly I was to bfeed our next adoptive child, he reluctantly gave me the go ahead and support to proceed with the protocol.
Now I find myself 10 months into the protocol with no child in sight. As luck would have it as of last night I have run out of the Yasmin and my order is not yet here. I do have a friend who could supply me with some until mine come in however I am getting concerned with the length that I have been on the protocol. I essentially have 3 options ? 1 continuing the protocol, length unknown. 2 stopping and giving my body a break but risk getting that call and finding myself not prepared to bfeed or 3 start pumping but it could be months before a child comes.
I am really not sure how to proceed at this point and would love to hear your insight on this.
Thanks,
Lisa
