Can you guys tell me which birth control pill you used when on the protocol. I read that Yasmin was good, but when I got intouch with the local lactation consultant here, she recommend another and said she had never heard of using Yasmin.

PS. Our surrogate is pregnant, due July 23, early but we're excited.

which did she recommend and why? Make sure she knows it is not for birth control. The one I used in no longer recommended. I have only heard of people using the Yasmin I think there is another if you can't get Yasmin but not sure what it is.
Quote:
It is extremely important that both the mother and her physician understand that the birth control pill is not being used to control menses but rather to develop the milk making apparatus of the breasts. This is why the birth control pill must contain at least 1 mg of progesterone (2 mg is better) and no more than 0.035 mg of estrogen
. Print the protocol off for her it may help. What did she say about the dom? Many of them will still recommend reglan which is bad bad bad news. So be ready for that too.

I'm not sure which b/c pill it was, but she did say she had never heard of using Yasmin. She did though say her protocol uses Reglan, which she went on the say caused some woman to experience depression. She knows of the domperidone and was using it in there protocol, but said the clinic she is with was following instructions from the FDA to not recommend it.

She asked me to bring in my protocol and she would be glad to help.

Sounds like she's a keeper You can always order your own dom. from global pharmacy. Then just make sure the pill she is recommending has the right amounts of each hormone in it as listed. It will be nice having a lactation consultant in your corner helping you out. .

She seems to be willing to follow the protocol I mentioned. She mentioned to order the dom from Canada I would need a RX, is a Rx need to order from Global Pharmacy.
