Hi there. I have been on the protocol for about 4 months, I think. I have just started pumping 3 days ago and am getting drops each time, which I'm really excited about. I was just wondering when you can start pumping for a whole 15 minutes at a time without having to stop and massage, jiggle, and tickle. I can still hand express multiple drops from each breast after the second half of a pumping session, too. Should I hand express after each pumping session? Just wanted to know.

Thanks,

Hi,

I guess the important point with pumping is to do it as often as you possibly can...as to how you pump it's pretty much an issue of whatever works for you. So experiment and see how your body reacts. If hand expressing after the pumping sessions works for you by all means keep it up. You seem to be doing great so far!

Love,
Chris

You don't have to do the massage and tickle. Its just an aid to help with your milk. If you would rather just pump for 15 minutes then its okay..
